Providing opportunities for women (aged 16 and over) to learn about the employment opportunities, the diversity of job roles and career pathways, and hear from staff that work in the aged care sector.

These interactive sessions will enable women to learn about:

• The aged care industry as a whole
• The different parts of the aged care sector and career opportunities
• The diversity of job roles and career pathways

Women who are employed in the sector will provide realistic insights into their chosen pathway, daily tasks and responsibilities, and learning journey.

Regional Career Discovery Days

These sessions will enable women will learn about the industry as a whole, the different sectors and careers opportunities, the diversity of job roles and career pathways. Women who are employed in the sector will provide realistic insights into their chosen pathway, daily tasks and responsibilities, and learning journey.

Practical Experience Days*

These practical experiences will support women who chose to ‘increase their understanding of the skills and aptitude sought by employers by providing practical experiences. These hands-on sessions will be offered to women scheduled after attending the Career Discovery Day. These could include tasks such as wheelchair awareness, vision impairment activities, hand massage and simulated tasks for fun and communication. Please note: places are limited for these events and preference will be given to those that have registered to and attended a Career Discovery Day
