Imagine living in a world where equal truly means equal. With International Women’s Day 2023 on the horizon, we invite you to join us for an enlightening webinar featuring Hon. Jo Palmer, Minister for Women, and Department of Premier and Cabinet Secretary and Head of the State Service, Ms. Jenny Gale. The Webinar will be held on 6 March from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and is a wonderful way to celebrate the occasion while promoting gender equality.

The UN Women Australia’s International Women’s Day theme for 2023, “Cracking the Code: Innovation for a Gender Equal Future,” fits perfectly with the recent release of the Tasmanian Women’s Strategy, “Equal Means Equal“. Facilitated by Mel Gray, the event will feature a conversation between the Minister and Ms. Gale, during which they will discuss the Minister’s unique professional journey, her thoughts on gender equality, and the challenges and successes she has experienced along the way.

As part of the Tasmanian State Service (TSS) Women Supporting Women in Leadership group, we are committed to embracing gender diversity, and so this event is open to all TSS staff. However, with limited spots available, we encourage you to register* for the event in advance to secure your spot.

This is a moderated event so if you have any questions for our speakers, please register them by emailing wsw@dpac.tas.gov.au no later than 12:00 pm on Monday 27 February 2023.

We can’t wait to have you join us for what is sure to be an inspiring conversation. Let’s work together to create a more equitable future for women everywhere.
