Tasmanian Building and Construction Careers Expo

If you’re interested in VET and careers in the building and construction industry, make sure you come along to the Tasmanian Building and Construction Careers Expo. This event offers a unique opportunity for students and parents to explore a variety of careers available within the building and construction industry, all on one site.

What to expect:

  • Industry Showcased: Discover career pathways and job opportunities directly from the professionals within the building and construction industry.
  • Industry Representatives: Around 40 representative businesses from various building and construction sectors.
  • Interactive Displays: Experience a unique tailgate expo where businesses will present their sectors from the back of their utes, providing a hands-on look at what a career in the industry entails. As well as construction equipment and simulators, to get a hands on experience.
  • Apprenticeship Information: Learn about apprenticeships and training opportunities through VET career stakeholders and Group Training Organisations (GTOs).
  • Networking Opportunities: Speak directly with industry representatives and current apprentices to gain firsthand insights into the opportunities and career pathways the industry can offer.

Who should attend:

  • Students: Year 8 to 12, especially those interested in VET and careers in the building and construction industry. Exclusive sessions for schools are scheduled as part of the event.
  • Career Advisors: Any career Advisors looking to gain a deeper understanding of the building and construction career opportunities and pathways.

School group sessions:

All school sessions are by appointment with a cap on the number of students per session. Ask your teacher or career advisor to please contact CCF Tasmania to book a session.
