Webinar: Quality Initial Teacher Education
13 July 2021 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Are you in Year 11 or 12 and are interested in pursuing a career as a teacher? It can certainly be a rewarding career. It’s known that quality teaching has a positive influence on student outcomes. Quality initial teacher education (ITE) is essential for graduate teachers. It ensures they have the right knowledge, skills and training to kick start their career.
The Australian Government is currently conducting a Review to identify the best ways to:
- Attract and select high quality candidates into the teaching profession
- Prepare graduates to be effective teachers
This webinar will include a discussion from the experts who are overseeing the Review. And you’ll have the opportunity to have your say and offer your thoughts to the panel members. Your input could help the Review.
The webinar is open to anyone. It will be useful for Year 11 & 12 students interested in becoming teacher. The webinar will run for 1.5 hours.
The Expert Panel is chaired by Ms Lisa Paul AO PSM and supported by Mr Malcolm Elliott, Emeritus Professor Bill Louden AM and Mr Derek Scott.
