The Young Aboriginal Leaders Scholarship is intended to encourage and support young Aboriginal people residing in Tasmania to pursue or continue their career or leadership endeavours and to be role models for other young Aboriginal people.
Applicants can apply for a scholarship up to $5,000 to support their chosen specific leadership or career opportunity. There is no minimum amount for your application.
Applications open at 2pm on Friday, 4 August and close at 5:00 pm on Friday, 15 September 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Young Aboriginal Leaders Scholarship, candidates must:
- Be between 15 – 29 years of age;
- Meet the Tasmanian State Government requirements of Eligibility for Tasmanian Government Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs and services;
- Be a current resident of Tasmania
